Interesting Activities to do in Missouri.
If a ranking of the US most popular states was done, anyone can tell those which will be at the top and the ones that will go to the bottom. While Missouri will not go to the top of the list, it wont be at the bottom either. It occupies the 31st position. However, this does not mean there isnt much to see in Missouri. There are plenty of family-friendly attractions, natural beauty, and even history. One of the places you should visit in Missouri is Gateway Arch, St. Louis. It features a mid-century modern design. You can check out the museum housed by the building and if you want to get a ride to the top there is a tram that will take you there in just 4 minutes. The arch is 630 feet high which makes it the tallest man-made structure in the country. This arch gives every visitor some information about mid-western history. The museum has information about the early settlers and pioneers who shaped the history of Missouri. The tram ride started in 1967, just 2 years after the construction of the arch was completed. You will enjoy scenic views of up to thirty miles while on top of the arch if you go on a clear day. After your visit at the arch, you can get into a riverboat ride to experience the water travel back in the 1800s.
You should also stop at Anheuser-Busch Brewery, St. Louis. Every Anheuser-Busch brewery you see in the country traces its history back to St. Louis at the beginning of the 19th century. The St. Louis Anheuser-Busch factory has daily events for visitors which include a beer museum tour, brewing classes, Biergarten and also a brewery tour. If you wish to see the Clydesdales in their paddocks then you can have that as well. Expect this tour to take about 45 minutes. You will be offered small amounts of the beer to sample not to forgetting visiting the Clydesdales stables. There is the Old Lyon Schoolhouse building up close once you are through with the brewery tour. There are more than four hundred artifacts about the history of beer making. If you fancy a German-style restaurant then the Biergarten will be it for you because it has indoor as well as outdoor seating. Besides the beer that is ever flowing there are a lot of things on the menu like bratwurst plate and pulled pork sandwiches. Another thing you should include in your itinerary is the Silver Dollar City Theme Park, Branson. It is the largest and oldest amusement park in the state.
